Lola's Legacy
Lola's Legacy celebrates the enduring impact of Loretta Winters—known to her grandchildren as "Lola"—through an initiative that empowers women and communities in education, advocacy, and leadership. This program aims to support women, particularly those from BIPOC backgrounds, in achieving their educational and professional aspirations in fields related to civil rights, social justice, and community development, furthering Loretta’s lifetime dedication to equality and justice.

For over 15 years, Loretta has served as the President of the Gloucester County NAACP Chapter, earning widespread respect and admiration for her compassion, commitment, and unyielding advocacy. As a domestic violence survivor, she transformed her challenges into a powerful foundation for community building, working tirelessly to uplift women and families in the BIPOC community. Through initiatives like 'Heels in the Battlefield and unity gatherings, she has fostered hope and solidarity, using her voice to amplify those who cannot advocate for themselves.
Lola's Legacy is a tribute from our CEO and COO—Lola's daughters—to honor her legacy and remind her that her tireless work has left an indelible mark. This program will present her "flowers" year after year, ensuring that her legacy lives on as we support women throughout New Jersey in pursuing their dreams. Through Lola’s Legacy at Peaceful Minds Haven, we aim to instill hope and provide the resources women need to advance their education and leave a lasting impact on their communities.
